Our Mission

Connect Speech Therapy is a dynamic hybrid clinic that is changing the way speech therapy services are provided in rural communities. We are changemakers and advocates for rural America! We provide home-based, clinic-based, and virtual speech and language therapy services. We believe in delivering convenient, reliable, effective speech therapy for all Wyoming residents (and beyond), which means we think outside the box to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our rural communities. We believe that collaboration, communication, and ongoing education are paramount to job satisfaction for our SLPs and SLPAs, as well as our clients’ success. We are passionate and committed to our work while prioritizing work-life balance and manageable caseloads.

Chelsea Paulus, MS, CCC-SLP

Founder, Owner and Speech-Language Pathologist

Chelsea founded Connect Speech Therapy in November 2017.She has grown her small Sheridan-based practice from a local side-business to a dynamic facility serving clients of all ages across the state of Wyoming. Chelsea is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who genuinely cares about the individual success of each child she meets. Chelsea's specialties include pediatric speech sound disorders, literacy disorders (including dyslexia), developmental language disorders, pragmatic language, and autism spectrum disorders.

Chelsea graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a master of science in speech-language pathology in 2016. She is nationally certified with her clinical certificate of competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed in Wyoming and Montana. Prior to completing her master's degree, Chelsea worked in Soldotna, Alaska, first as an early intervention specialist in a birth-age 3 program and then as a 1st grade teacher. She worked in education for 3 years before returning to school to complete her master's degree. She and her husband, Matt, are proud to call Sheridan home! When she isn't working, you can find Chelsea spending time with her young daughter, in the mountains with her two dogs, or enjoying her cabin in the Big Horns.

Jennifer Colston, C-SLPA

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Jennifer graduated from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming with an associate of applied science in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in May 2020. She completed a 16-week internship within an elementary school in Cheyenne. There she worked with students grades kindergarten through 6th grade both in person and via teletherapy. She has worked closely with a diverse group of students. Jennifer is compassionate and loves helping children achieve their goals. She and her husband, Austin, live in Georgia but are grateful that they had the chance to call Cheyenne their home for a few years. Outside of therapy, Jennifer likes to go hiking with her husband and dog, bake and learn new recipes, or watch movies with family and friends.

Jennifer is licensed in Wyoming and California and she is ASHA certified. She is currently accepting new teletherapy clients!

Katelynn Doherty, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Katelynn was born and raised in Wyoming, graduating from Sheridan High School and attended the University of Wyoming, for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. After receiving her masters, she followed her husband to Bremerton, Washington and began her career as a school based SLP and high school volleyball coach. While she enjoyed the ocean, national parks, and the different cultures and cuisine of Washington, she knew she wanted to move closer to home. After giving birth to their son, Peter, Katelynn and her husband moved back to Sheridan, Wyoming to be closer to family. She is thrilled to serve the community that raised, educated, and supported her.

While working in the schools, Katelynn fell in love with the “littles,” preschool aged children. She is skilled in providing therapy for Childhood Apraxia of Speech, expressive language delay, and school-age language therapy. She loves to work hard, while having fun during therapy. While not working, she enjoys painting/crafting, gardening, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Katelynn is nationally certified with her clinical certificate of competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in Wyoming and Montana. She is currently accepting new clients in Sheridan and Ranchester.

Brittany Mayo, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Brittany graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Communicative Disorders, before completing her Master of Science in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology at Northern Arizona University in 2009. Since 2010, Brittany has provided speech therapy services to children in educational and clinical settings in Texas and Wyoming. Brittany has experience evaluating and treating children with a variety of communication disorders and diagnoses. Brittany is passionate about the field of speech-language pathology and believes effective communication is essential for every individual. She works hard to utilize treatment approaches that best meet the needs of each of her clients. Brittany lives in Buffalo with her husband and 2 daughters. They enjoy spending time in the Bighorns.

Brittany is nationally certified with her Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed in Wyoming. She is currently accepting pediatric clients via teletherapy.

Trisha Nicholls, BS, SLPA

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Trisha graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Hearing, Language and Communication Disorders in 2012. After receiving her bachelor’s, she returned to her hometown of Riverton, Wyoming where she and her husband, Corbin, and their four children, Harper, Hazin, Haxlie, and Hestin live. She has worked as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the past 11 years in both clinic, school, and teletherapy settings. She has worked with diverse groups and enjoys helping each individual meet their goals. When she is not working as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant you will find her supporting and spending time with her family while they rodeo, play sports, or work on the ranch!

Trisha is currently accepting teletherapy clients in Wyoming.

Adam Arredondo, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Adam graduated from the University of Wyoming in the summer of 2021 after completing internships in Fremont County schools and also at the Connect Speech Therapy clinic. After graduating, he worked in Sheridan County School District #2 with students in 1st through 5th grade and high school.

When he is not working, Adam enjoys riding horses, mountain biking, fishing, and boxing. Adam also works as a mule packer with the Forest Service in the summers.

Adam is nationally certified with his Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed in Wyoming. Adam is currently accepting teletherapy clients in Wyoming.

Angela (Gela) Capanna, BA, SLPA

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Gela graduated with a bachelor of arts in advertising from Barry University before relocating to England where she completed her teacher training degree. She taught in England for five years before returning to Wyoming. She then completed her associate of arts in the speech language pathology assistant program at Laramie County Community College. She worked as an SLPA in Lander Wyoming for three years before joining the Connect Speech team.

Gela lives in Lander with her wife and two cats. Gela enjoys traveling the world, exploring Wyoming with her family, and playing with her cats! She is currently accepting teletherapy clients in Wyoming.

Myranda Irion, BS, C-SLPA

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Myranda was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming and lives locally with her husband and daughter. She graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Myranda completed her undergraduate supervision hours through Connect Speech Therapy and seamlessly transitioned into her role as an SLPA. While working closely with our pediatric and elementary aged children, she has found a passion for play and sensory-based therapy. Outside of work, Myranda enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the mountains, trying new foods, listening to live music and attending community events.

Myranda is licensed in Wyoming and she is ASHA certified. She is currently accepting new clients in Sheridan!

Anna Coddington, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Anna graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in Spanish linguistics and a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language. She taught English in Ecuador and Costa Rica for several years before returning to the states to pursue a career in speech language pathology. After completing her Master of Science in communication disorders and sciences at the University of Oregon, Anna began working as a travel therapist and gained clinical experience in both educational and medical settings. Anna has experience working with all ages and treating a wide variety of communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders. Outside of work, Anna enjoys hiking with her dog, mountain biking, and fishing.

Anna is nationally certified with her Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed in Wyoming, Oregon, and Alaska.

Kelsey Stanford, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kelsey graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2015. Since then, she has worked in pediatric speech therapy, first in the home health setting and now with Connect. She is certified nationally by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in Wyoming and Texas, where she lives. She is also bilingual and has training and experience in evaluating and treating bilingual and Spanish-speaking children. Kelsey loves working with kids and helping them improve their communication skills. She and her husband, Michael, love to hike, read at coffee shops, watch shows/movies, and spend time with friends and family.
